The procedures established herein are intended to
implement the provisions of the California Public Records Act (CPRA) found
in California Government Code 6250 et seq. in the event of a conflict
between the procedures established herein and the CPRA, the CPRA shall
prevail. Public records which are not exempt from disclosure by express provision of law will be made available for inspection at the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service located at 425 North Gateway, Suite K, Madera, California. Written requests need to be mailed to the Coarsegold Resource Conservation District, P.O. Box 1288, North Fork, CA 93643. The District is not obligated to provide records for inspection immediately upon request. An individual or representative of a company or organization seeking to inspect the District’s public records may be requested to schedule an appointment for the inspection. Within ten (10) calendar days of the receipt of the written request with extension for unusual circumstances (as defined by CA. Government Code 6250-70), Coarsegold Resource Conservation District (CRCD) will do one or more of the following: a. Make the records available for inspection or copying with the presence of an authorized representative of the District b. If copies are requested and payment of a deposit for copies, if any, is made or terms of payment are agreed upon, copies will be sent to the requestor. c. Provide a reasonable estimate of when records will be available: or d. If the request is unclear or does not sufficiently identify the requested records, request clarification from requestor. Such clarification may be requested by telephone or e-mail e. Deny the request in writing (email, hand delivered or via postal service). The denial shall state the
legal basis therefore provided by Madera County Counsel. No member of the public may remove any document(s)
from the District’s viewing area or disassemble or alter any document.
Original public records shall not be released to the public for any
purpose. Exempt records include any listed as exempt under the California Public Records Act. Adopted by the board January 27, 2011. |
